Digital addiction care is broken.
Because of more access, and lower barriers for everyone, we believe that addiction care’s future is digital-first.
Right now between a handful of professional programs lies a sea of low-quality, poorly grounded “solutions” that overpromise, underdeliver, and fail those who need effective support the most. With the recent flood of automated AI slop, this problem is getting even worse.
These “solutions” don’t just fall short, they actively damage trust in digital mental health overall.

We are building a new standard for digital addiction care: professional, human-centered, ethical, evidence-based, and scalable. We believe digital solutions should meet the same standards as offline care, but reach far more people.
In practice, we are developing science-first, human-centered behavior change programs, designed to work in real life and to scale.

In addition to building the framework and methodology for the Emese Care programs, the lab has three goals.
We are building Emese Commons, an open-source knowledge base which will be used by habit changers and health professionals. It’s designed to be science-first and directly applicable to real-life.
We are dedicated to teaching the public on how addictions actually work and how to overcome them effectively. We will provide accessible high-quality education for the general public.
In the future, research and develop new methods for addiction care and make it publicly available for everyone. Even our competitors.

Translates complex addiction science into clear, empathetic, and trustworthy public-facing language across platforms.
Open Source Curator
Owns the structure, governance, and long-term usability of Emese Commons as a living open-source knowledge system.
Social Media Strategist
Leads evidence-based content distribution and community dialogue without compromising scientific quality.
Graduate Research Assistant
Supports research, testing, and lab operations while gaining applied experience in digital addiction science.
Methodology and ethics reviewer
Safeguards the scientific validity, ethical integrity, and responsible communication of all Emese Lab and Emese Care outputs.
Lab coordinator
Acts as the strategic “glue” of Emese Lab, managing contributor workflows and ensuring the Lab’s goals translate into organized action.
Nicotine Topic Research Lead
Owns the scientific integrity, literature base, and external expert connections of a specific addiction vertical.
Social Media Topic Research Lead
Owns the scientific integrity, literature base, and external expert connections of a social media addiction vertical.
Porn Topic Research Lead
Owns the scientific integrity, literature base, and external expert connections of a porn addiction vertical.

Translates validated behavioural theory into practical intervention logic and feedback loops within Emese Care.

Designs emotionally safe, accessible, and evidence-aligned user experiences for the Emese Care product.

Turns addiction science into supportive, engaging in-product content that users can actually apply.
